The National Library of Palestine concluded the “Information Management in Libraries and Documentation Centers” program, with the participation of (32) trainees at the National School of Administration in Ramallah.
The training topics focused on: introduction to libraries, the history of libraries in Palestine, the international systems used in classification, modern records management, security and protection of information, electronic archiving and its components, archival legislation and its role in protecting and preserving heritage, the concept of digitization and its importance and requirements, acquisition standards, preservation strategy, and stages of digitization, In addition to intellectual property rights and international standards for digital conversion.
