Tulkarm - The National Library of Palestine and Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie signed a joint cooperation agreement dedicated to working on collecting and preserving the Palestinian archive, based on their belief in the necessity of exchanging experiences, enhancing cooperation, and coordinating efforts to increase awareness of the importance of preserving archives and strengthening the Palestinian national narrative.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Issa Qaraqe, Head of the National Library, and Dr. Hussein Shank, President of Kadoorie University.
The two parties agreed to provide ways of joint cooperation in the field of national libraries and archives, and to work on organizing and holding conferences, professional training seminars and workshops, in order to raise staff competencies of the two institutions, and expand the scope of joint scientific studies and research.
In addition, they agreed to exchange the expertise of specialists especially in the fields of paper and digital documentation and archiving.
